Green Township Projects for 2024
A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is a set of U.S. government financial statements comprising the financial report of a state, municipal or other governmental entity that complies with the accounting requirements promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).
All meetings will be held every third month on the second Monday of the month before the Township meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Green Township Hall unless otherwise posted. Meeting dates are subject to change.
Planning permission or developmental approval refers to the approval needed for construction or expansion (including significant renovation) in some jurisdictions. It is usually given in the form of a building permit (or construction permit). Please click here for more details.

The intent and purpose of the Alpena County Chapter of the MTA and Alpena County Township Officers Association, is;
A) To provide a forum for discussion and dissemination of information for townships and township officials.
B) To serve as a means of influencing other political bodies and other agencies for the benefit of the townships.
C) To be unifying agent working toward the common goal of promoting effective township government.
D) To promote cooperation and fellowship between all officials of Alpena County.
It is no secret that the Great Lakes are one of the most unique and precious environmental systems in the world. In fact, “the Great Lakes basin contains more than 20% of the world’s surface freshwater supplies and supports a more than 30 million population.”
