Eric Smith

My wife, Deb, and I live on our beef cattle farm in Lachine.   We have been married for 36 years and have two adult daughters and four grandchildren.

After graduating from the U of M -Flint with a degree in Business Management – Concentration in Accounting, I spent about 10 years working for BDO Seidman as an Auditor.  This work was done primarily in North East Michigan.   In 1991, a client, Panel Processing, Inc., recruited me to join their management team.   Currently, I am the President and CEO of this manufacturing firm based in Alpena.

I have extensive experience working on various Boards in the Alpena area.  I currently serve on the My Michigan Health Board of Directors in Alpena (16 years) and Midland (7 years).  I have been on the Green Township Board for 27 years with the last 17 as Supervisor.
